Patrick BUCELET or a new concept for kitchens
Patrick Bucelet, is a 35 years old interior designer-decorator, set up in business on his own since last October under the name of Atrium. He takes side for a functional and aesthetics kitchen where astuteness is everywhere, as well in the block assembled on casters as in a retractable hotplate. Its slogan: "the custom made craft" by using noble materials - wood, hone, marten...- and more contemporariy materials: aluminium, melamine-based beech. An attractive blend at first glance that breathes quality. A professional choice.
"I sell quality, not discount" specifies right away the man from Angoulême, while demonstrating his work at the Exhibition of Angoulême. No question of selling off. Real Jack-of-all-trades since his childhood, cantor of the craft industry, Patrick knows the price of materials and work spent to polish a marble or to slot a drawer. He was himself employed by a craftsman before creating his own one-man business (E.l.).
"A laboratory and a living space"
"At the beginning, I wanted to be a draftsman and then a carpenter cabinetmaker and since I like all these activities, I find myself better in this concept which connects everything, at the crossing point between the customers and the craftsmen who cannot always increase in value their products" he explains while cherishing with his finger the walnut tree of a cupboard. A beautiful work ! "I have plenty of ideas in my mind" says with passion the designer. I interpret the tastes of the customer, I start a study. I try to seek for something original and to combine the colours and the essences. Today, the kitchen must be a laboratory and a living space where one feels good, such as the one of the grandparents, with a large farm table".
Genuine resident of Charente , he wants to combine tradition and modernity by adding his personal touch. The trust of Philippe Petiot, a monumental mason located in Champniers, where Patrick exhibits his work, is an encouragement. The two activities are complementary. "He is experienced, he wanted to help a young man, dynamic and volunteer" concedes Patrick recognizing his luck. The assessment of the last six months is largely positive. "The price is not a problem. Customers are ready to pay in order to have an original bathroom or kitchen. Everything is fully optimized. There are even arrangements up to the ceiling". And to reach it, the interior designer unfolds a stool, dissimulated under the sink. Seriousness does not exclude fun. The kitchen is not any more a chore thanks to this clever designer.
